Maravilla Tabuelan --- EGWEN HIDDEN PARADISE

My weekend was absolutely amazing because I got to go to Maravilla Tabuelan, Cebu. Tabuelan is one of the Northern Provinces of Cebu and travelling by bus would approximately take 3-4 hrs. We had our own ride to get there, so I wouldn't know the rates if you go by bus.

Our group went to the public beach, EGWEN HIDDEN PARADISE. Before arriving, I had my share of doubts about the beauty and safety of the place given that it is a public beach.

Upon arriving though, all doubts were simply washed away by the wonderful waves that greeted us. Its beauty is just undefinable and you really get to appreciate how surprisingly clean the place is for a public beach. And safety wasn't even an issue either since the Barangay Hall is just a stone's throw away, maybe about 20 steps away.

The resort also has everything you could possibly need to get the city life off your system. The fact that it absolutely has NO WI-FI, and that phones have no signal whatsoever are proof enough (hahahaha) which I think is a good thing since it isn't that often you get a chance to go out of the city.

You can find Sari-sari stores nearby (so you do not need to worry if ever you forgot to bring water or softdrinks), it has a basketball court (for those sports enthusiasts like me), a souvenir shop, and the rental per cottage is only P250.00. Best of all is that there is NO ENTRANCE FEE!!! YEPEY!!! =D

This is the perfect place to unwind. The long shoreline with its pure white sand and the breathtaking views will definitely take all your stress away. They also claim to have magnificent sunsets although we didn't get the chance to behold it since we arrived really late. Indeed, it really is a hidden paradise.

Most beaches become boring during low tide but here, sand bars appear everywhere so you can really do a lot of fun activities. As for me and my friends, we decided to play games, do skim boarding (we brought our own board), and some went for snorkeling. Most of the pictures here are taken by Mikel Magdadaro and some are from Lyzel.

The total cost of the trip we had was really cheap. Among the 11 of us, we only had to contribute P100 per person, since our very kind friend Lyzel covered the cost for our transportation (THANK YOU!)... =D That P100 covered food for 3 meals and our overnight stay. Who says having fun is expensive? =D
