CEBU ISLAND HOPPING!

I have always considered myself so blessed that I was born here in Cebu. What more could I ask for when Cebu has countless of amazing tourist spots and islands nearby that can boast of its natural wonders. My friends and I decided to explore some of these islands by going on an island hopping trip.

It was an early Sunday morning when our group started to prepare the necessary things needed for our trip. We cooked some of the food, prepared water, and of course bought ice to beat the summer heat. We left our house to go to Parkmall to get the rest of the gang, then for Angasil, Mactan Lapu-Lapu City where the port is located, at around 7:30am.

Once you arrive at Angasil, you can usually see people coming to meet you to offer their island hopping services. You could go for whatever price you think is reasonable for you there. As for me and my friends, we already had a contact person. Our deal was P4,000 for a boat that has a capacity to bring 30 people. Since it was low tide, we had to ride on a raft to get to our boat.

Once you're on the boat, you can just do anything you want while waiting to reach the islands of your choice. On average you can go to 3 islands as long as time allows you to. We chose Sulpa, Caohagan (P70), & Bas Dako (P50) fish sanctuary.  You have to pay per person though if you want to dock on the island.

We also went freediving since you can rent snorkels and flippers for only P300. Here's the link to the video FREE DIVING VIDEO

God has blessed Cebu so much with beautiful natural wonders and what's even better is that the people living here are more beautiful. (A testament to that was the outpouring of help for the Yolanda survivors) That is why we should take care of what we have and not only for this generation but also for the generations to come.
